Liz's STORY MINE class series pushes students to mine their personal connection to their creative work before shaping it into a finished story. Each class employs free-form writing prompts designed to work for fiction, creative nonfiction, and writing for screen or stage.
the DIG

THE DIG guides students towards unearthing their story—the one only they can tell. Free-writing prompts and exercises generate ideas and develop characters. More prompts mine those characters deeper until a plot unfolds. What will be done with that plot is not yet at issue. We’ll get there…This class is about developing a creative writing practice and deepening your storytelling skills. Students may bring in work for critique on ongoing projects in any genre.
